Neon Ultra Light Clone Knife is back in stock!

I know a lot of you have been waiting for this clone to come back, and it did.
This time not made by Vespa, but has all the qualities (milled ti handles, ceramic bearings and even Shiro proprietary screws, which are better IMO) D2 blade and is cheaper than the Vespa version.
The biggest dilemma is what handle color to choose :).

Knife can be found here: Shiro Neon Clone
Genuine Shirogorov Neon Ultra Lite sold here: Shirogorov Neon
More cool EDC blades here: EDC Blades

    1. I got the gold/yellow...in actuality it looks copper/bronze with a bunch of purplish highlights throughout. After a few days of playing with the the one and only complaint I have is that the handles are extremely slick! The knife is better suited for warm/humid weather so it isn't as slippery in hand. Overall and excellent deal for roughly 60 bucks! Thanks again for the heads up

BTW...I ordered the KJ M390 F95 a couple of days ago. I love the purple/bronze anodization...really excited to get my hands on that one! I have a D2 CF model and it's an awesome design with great functionality so I figured I'd go all out and get the best F95 clone available right now!

    2. Awesome, would love to hear about KJ's knife (I think it's an Ice Breaker model). About the Neon - great, I ordered one too, but in silver. Will see how that will turn out.
Anyway, thank you very much for your feedback, I really appreciate it! Best wishes, bro!

  3. Is there a difference between an F95 and an Icebreaker? I thought it was just the color that made it be considered an Icebreaker...

    1. The original Ice Breaker is a very limited version of the F95.
It has the fluted titanium handle and a different clip.
That is pretty much the whole difference :).
      Cheers!

  4. I sharpened it last night and tried to disassemble to clean it out and tune it up but couldn't get it apart! The pivot is free spinning, like other Shiro clones, and must have some Loctite in the threads. I even tried heating it up but no luck...it's a bummer! Gonna give it another shot tonight...

    1. How did you try to heat it? Did you try to put it in boiling water (up to the pivot). If that won't work - try soldering Iron and then put it in the freezer overnight.

    2. I used a heat gun...didn't work. Also tried a soldering iron which didn't work but didn't try freezing it afterwards. Gonna try tour suggestions. Very smart! Make sense...pissed I didn't think of it. GRRR! Lol

Btw...I got the M390 Icebreaker in today. It's nice but didn't blow me away as I expected it would. One design choice that really irks me is the milling on the show side scale...the spot where the original Shirogorov has the bear head logo which this obviously does not! It makes no sense to have that empty diamond shape there...they should've just had it match the other side to make it more symmetrical and not to ruin the flow of the otherwise gorgeous mill work. It's a very odd choice...or perhaps just an oversight..?

    3. When I have this problem even after boiling the pivot I just clamp in the knife at a dawer or between 2 desks like a gentle prying. This holds the free spinning pivot and allows you to remove the screw.

Btw, the UltraLight is definitely a knife that I'd prefer with a blasted handle finish if I could afford it atm.

  5. How is the action like on the neon compared to the green thorn f95s? From vids I've watched it seems like it has a soft detent? Wld appreciate a clarification as I'm deciding between both to purchase hahah

    1. I will post a full review soon, but I can tell you now that both knives are great, but the Green Thorn is a better overall knife, including the action.
The Neon has advantages over the GT - size and weight, making it more EDCable.
      Hope I helped.
      Cheers!
